Software Engineer, Coding Agent Harness Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and modify coding agent harnesses to assess the effects of various architectural choices.

• Design AI-driven systems that evaluate inference workload dynamics of top agentic harnesses in realistic scenarios.

• Collaborate with teams throughout NVIDIA's software and hardware ecosystem to enhance co-design at the harness layer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in building or modifying coding agent harnesses on a large scale.

• Knowledge of agent evaluation frameworks such as Harbor.

• Understanding of inference performance metrics, including TTFT, throughput, and ITL.

• Practical experience with frontier coding agents like Codex and Claude Code.

• A methodical, scientific approach to data collection, analysis, and research.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Professional experience at a company focused on AI inference or agents.

• Experience in developing modern agentic or AI-enhanced systems.

• Capability to convert data insights into tangible product enhancements with the end user in mind.

• Open source contributions that demonstrate applications of agentic AI.

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related area.
