Software Engineer, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain Cloud platforms and APIs that support AI-driven mobile, XR, web, and desktop applications.

• Create secure, dependable, high-performance Cloud-hosted APIs for Stryker medical device applications.

• Develop scalable Cloud-hosted data-processing and data-ingestion pipelines for handling images, videos, STL files, CT scans, and other substantial data entities.

• Utilize AI models to summarize and analyze clinical and operational information.

• Aid in the front-end implementation of Web applications.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.

• Establish automated unit tests and integration testing procedures.

• Construct proof of concepts to evaluate and validate backend Cloud solution designs.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA testers, mobile/XR/web/desktop engineers, product security teams, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders.

• Convert functional requirements into secure, reliable, and scalable backend components.

• Contribute to architecture, documentation, quality processes, and dependable data pipelines within a regulated environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 2 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficiency in writing maintainable and testable code with modern programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.

• Application of recognized design principles and patterns.

• Experience in developing backend services and APIs hosted in the Cloud utilizing PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS solutions.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities across distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Single Page Application frameworks like React or Angular.

• Experience in implementing and working with Docker containers.

• Understanding of security considerations and protocols such as OAuth and SSL/TLS.

• Exposure to regulated environments or software for medical devices.
