This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Create, construct, and maintain dependable backend services and APIs for Cash Line and the overall borrower experience.
β’ Build systems that facilitate offer generation, pricing, underwriting, funding, and account management.
β’ Connect backend functionalities with applications used by borrowers and partner systems.
β’ Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define, develop, and launch features.
β’ Produce tested, maintainable code and engage in code review processes.
β’ Enhance system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
β’ Identify and resolve issues across various environments.
β’ Encourage experimentation and iterative enhancements using data and feedback from customers.
β’ Occasionally travel for team meetings and company events.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Over 4 years of professional experience in software engineering.
β’ Strong expertise in developing backend services and APIs using Python, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Node.js.
β’ Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs, data models, and distributed systems or service-oriented architectures.
β’ Understanding the principles of writing tested, maintainable code and collaborating through code review.
β’ Capability to collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features from requirements to production.
β’ Experience in building scalable and reliable systems for consumer-facing products.
β’ Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD processes, observability, and contemporary software development practices.
β’ Exposure to fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated financial sectors.
β’ Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, or feature flagging in a production environment.
β’ Active engagement with AI tools in engineering workflows.
β’ A passion for products that enhance access to credit and improve financial outcomes for consumers.
