Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software.

• Contribute to the design of products catered to Home Depot customers and associates.

• Engage in product configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and monitoring in production.

• Adhere to organizational best practices and partake in discussions aimed at improvement.

• Gain knowledge through both successful and unsuccessful experiments when addressing new challenges.

• Pursue growth and face challenges through both formal and informal development avenues.

• Foster partnerships and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

• Work alongside team members following agile methodologies.

• Report to a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Manager.

• Have no direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in a related field.

• At least 1 year of professional work experience.

• Experience in developing backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with AI/ML tools, APIs, and generative AI platforms.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and design principles for distributed systems.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native development methodologies.

• Proficient knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with Git-based source code management systems.

• Experience using Jira for Agile project management.

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, along with data modeling and query optimization.

• Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Understanding of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and secure coding principles.

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise applications.
