SAP BW & HANA Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume a developer position within a break-fix incident response team.

• Resolve end-to-end data inconsistencies across HANA Calculation Views, SAP BW, and SAP source system extractors.

• Analyze and debug dataflows, addressing mapping and logic discrepancies.

• Identify and troubleshoot memory and performance challenges in HANA Calculation Views.

• Design and enhance HANA Calculation Views and Table Functions.

• Create and sustain SAP source system extractors, including both generic and logistics extractors.

• Oversee data loading processes, delta management, and ETL workflows within SAP environments.

• Investigate, debug, and rectify ABAP code utilized in extractors and transformations.

• Execute SQL-based data analysis, debugging, and performance optimization in HANA and BW settings.

• Perform root cause analysis and address break-fix issues in collaboration with a cross-functional agile team.

• Document and articulate technical insights and resolutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A current Secret Clearance is mandatory.

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP BW & HANA Development is required.

• Proficient in detecting and addressing data discrepancies throughout the dataflow, from HANA Calculation Views to SAP BW and SAP source system extractors.

• Skilled in debugging dataflows and examining mapping and logic challenges.

• Advanced capabilities in troubleshooting memory and performance issues in HANA Calculation Views.

• Expertise in HANA modeling, particularly Calculation Views and Table Functions, emphasizing optimization.

• Significant experience in developing and maintaining SAP source system extractors, including both generic and logistics extractors.

• Understanding of data loading processes, delta handling, and ETL operations within SAP landscapes.

• Ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues in ABAP code, including custom scripts used in extractors and transformations.

• Competent in SQL for conducting data analysis, debugging, and performance tuning in HANA systems and BW environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP BW data models, transformations, process chains, and InfoProviders.

• Familiarity with S/4HANA system integration and CDS views is preferred.

• Strong capability to collaborate on a cross-functional, agile team for root cause analysis and resolution of break-fix incidents.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills to convey technical findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
