Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop and architect contemporary web applications encompassing frontend, backend, and integrations for client projects.

• Collaborate with project leaders, designers, and client representatives to outline features and establish technical strategies.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot in daily operations.

• Incorporate LLMs, RAG pipelines, and various AI functionalities into client-facing solutions.

• Convert vague client specifications into actionable technical plans and deliver functional software.

• Communicate work, trade-offs, and suggestions to non-technical client audiences effectively.

• Engage in internal tool development, code assessments, and shared engineering methodologies.

• Collaborate directly with clients and take full ownership of delivered work.

• Challenge assumptions, suggest alternatives, and assist in shaping the product vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building and deploying production-level web applications.

• High level of expertise with React/TypeScript for frontend development and proficiency in at least one server-side language: Node, Go, Python, or C#/.NET.

• Proven experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools in practical settings.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable delivering presentations to clients and producing documentation.

• Experience in client-facing roles, consulting, or product-service environments, or a strong desire to transition into one.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms; preference for Azure or GCP.

• This role does not qualify for sponsorship.

• Experience in integrating LLMs, vector databases, or vision models into live applications is a plus.

• A background in infrastructure, transportation, AEC, or related industries served by STV is a plus.

• Ability to work across the technology stack and quickly adapt to new technologies is advantageous.

• Engagement in side projects, open-source contributions, or writing that showcases curiosity and craftsmanship is a plus.
