Senior Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, build, and sustain robust and scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, and either Python or Scala.

• Create solutions for the efficient processing and transformation of large datasets.

• Oversee and enhance current data pipelines and workflows, focusing on performance, scalability, throughput, and reliability improvements.

• Partner with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to grasp data requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.

• Execute data quality checks and governance protocols to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

• Diagnose complex data and pipeline challenges, identify root causes, and propose sustainable solutions.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards and best practices within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong professional background in Data Engineering, especially in the design and development of data pipelines.

• Practical experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience handling large datasets.

• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting complex data challenges.

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese.

• Comfort working in collaborative settings and engaging with clients and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
