Senior Curriculum Developer – Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create new courses and educational resources.

• Enhance existing materials by utilizing student performance data along with feedback from students and teachers.

• Integrate input from team members and stakeholders.

• Supervise junior curriculum developers as they collaborate on various projects.

• Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on materials developed by other curriculum creators.

• Engage in teacher training and develop training materials as needed.

• Involve yourself in the onboarding, training, and growth of interns and junior curriculum developers.

• Serve as a consultant and strategic partner in your areas of expertise.

• Address potential obstacles and communicate the status of content while estimating timelines for content creation.

• Gain insights into students, teachers, and customers, potentially by teaching courses yourself.

• Promote excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning within the team.

• Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline closely related to computer science.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in teaching computer science and/or developing advanced or exceptionally advanced educational materials, preferably with significant experience with K-12 students.

• Strong familiarity with the needs and characteristics of target-audience students and teachers.

• Proven ability to make sound cost-benefit decisions.

• Deep understanding of the wants and needs of purchasers.

• Robust knowledge of computer science content.

• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex computer science concepts into clear and engaging content.

• Outstanding editing capabilities.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively communicate with project stakeholders.

• High level of creativity and the ability to generate original problems and puzzles.

• Willingness to actively seek and learn from feedback.

• A passion for education.

• Successful completion of a background check.
