Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and sustain software utilizing established programming languages, technical standards, and development methodologies.

• Analyze, test, and troubleshoot solutions across development, testing, and production settings.

• Offer production support by proactively identifying problems and executing effective solutions.

• Create Proofs of Concept to assess proposed technical strategies.

• Assess, recommend, and implement technologies that improve product development, performance, and user experience.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and user requirements.

• Articulate and support technical choices using sound engineering judgment and programming principles.

• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.

• Advocate for high-quality user experiences and development best practices.

• Contribute to individual, departmental, and organizational initiatives as necessary.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.

• A High School Diploma with equivalent experience will also be considered.

• 1-3 years of full-stack development experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in either C#/SQL Server or Java/MySQL Server is required; familiarity with other programming languages is advantageous.

• Experience in usability/interface design is essential.

• Knowledge of advanced SQL queries is preferred.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.

• Proven strong attention to detail and ability to deliver a high-quality product on the first attempt.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional time management, organizational, and planning skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize key initiatives, and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated capability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues within and across departments.

• Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency, a proactive approach, and anticipatory qualities.
