Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Standardize quality assurance processes for software.

• Supervise software testing and debugging efforts while developing solutions.

• Investigate complaints and suggest modifications or recommendations to address complex software-related challenges.

• Comprehend the business objectives behind software solution requests.

• Engage in significant feature planning activities.

• Take part in analysis to ascertain whether to build, buy, or utilize a hybrid approach for solutions, and document logical requirements.

• Collaborate in designing solutions that encompass data structures, system processes, services, and user interfaces.

• Write, update, and maintain in-house software solutions with Humana Military-sanctioned tools.

• Write, update, and maintain software that integrates purchased solutions using Humana Military-approved tools.

• Configure purchased software to align with business and IT requirements.

• Aid in the creation of comprehensive functional and regression test cases.

• Support testing teams in automating test cases.

• Assist end users with user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Contribute to the development of detailed deployment plans.

• Prepare system documentation as instructed.

• Provide on-call support as scheduled.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development.

• Proficiency with a modern Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and additional software development tools.

• A strong desire to contribute to an organization dedicated to continually enhancing consumer experiences.

• Experience with .NET 8/10.

• Skills in building Web APIs.

• Knowledge of Dependency Injection.

• Experience in developing Web MVC applications.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/Bootstrap.

• Familiarity with CI/CD Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for remote employees.

• Capability to work from a dedicated space without continuous interruptions, ensuring the protection of member PHI/HIPAA information.
