This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Take charge of the architecture and long-term development of Moonshot’s Flutter application for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Create, implement, and sustain a comprehensive mobile design system and component library in collaboration with the Design team.
• Develop engaging trading interfaces that include live pricing, charts, order tickets, order history, notifications, and portfolio displays.
• Enhance mobile performance and reliability through profiling, optimizing frame rendering, managing memory and network resources, and reducing crashes.
• Establish and uphold automated unit, widget, and integration testing frameworks.
• Assist in defining the release and quality assurance processes.
• Incorporate analytics, A/B testing, feature flags, and event tracking into the application alongside the Product and Growth teams.
• Collaborate with Backend and Platform engineers on API design, data models, error handling, retry mechanisms, fallbacks, and offline functionality.
• Lead through conducting code reviews, preparing design documents, and providing mentorship.
• Engage in mobile on-call rotations and drive solutions for root causes.
• Shape the future of Moonshot’s iOS and Android cryptocurrency trading platform.
• 6–10+ years of professional experience in mobile development.
• Ideally possess 3+ years of experience with Flutter in production, or have experience with React Native, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Proven experience in owning large-scale consumer applications from start to finish.
• Preferably have experience in fintech, trading, or other similarly demanding fields.
• Strong grasp of mobile architectures, including state management, navigation, and modularization.
• Demonstrated expertise in building or leading design systems or UI libraries in Flutter or other frameworks.
• Experience with testing methodologies, mobile CI/CD, monitoring, and release management.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Experience in mentoring fellow engineers.
• Ability to work in the USA or Canada, as applicable to the role's remote eligibility and authorization criteria.
