This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +1 more state.
β’ Assist the field service engineering team with Active Protection System (APS).
β’ Deliver hands-on technical support for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of APS kits on military vehicles and platforms.
β’ Aid in the engineering design and development of electrical control systems and automation devices.
β’ Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems and prototypes.
β’ Support the testing of systems, devices, and instruments.
β’ Document testing procedures and measure and record performance outcomes using established methods.
β’ Manage the inventory of supplies and tools utilized for testing and maintenance.
β’ Perform diagnostic testing and identify system faults in the field.
β’ Provide suitable remedial actions in the field.
β’ Install and calibrate production system platforms.
β’ Interact directly with customers, suppliers, contractors, U.S. military personnel, foreign supplier partners, vehicle prime contractors, and other stakeholders.
β’ Operate at customer locations and travel internationally, which may include possible OCONUS trips.
β’ Vocational/Technical Training Degree with 1-2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
β’ Capability to obtain a Security Clearance.
β’ Preference for technical training.
β’ Familiarity with electronic equipment installation.
β’ Understanding of engineering support.
β’ Knowledge of laboratory supply management.
β’ Awareness of performance analysis.
β’ Proficiency in technical troubleshooting.
β’ Knowledge of reporting testing results.
β’ Familiarity with control systems.
β’ Understanding of electro-mechanical components and instruments.
β’ Acquainted with test documentation.
β’ Knowledge of equipment repairs.
β’ Familiarity with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.
β’ Ability to remain stationary at a desk and/or computer for extended periods.
β’ Capability to move regularly throughout GD-OTS facilities.
β’ Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
β’ Willingness to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climates and/or operate machinery.
β’ Openness to working a different shift if requested.
β’ Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.
β’ Anticipate more than 50% travel.
