Senior Mobile Engineer – Grafana Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +5 more countries.

• Shape the product roadmap and your personal career goals.

• Work alongside the team to implement new features and enhance them progressively.

• Lead projects from conception to operational phases post-customer release.

• Engage in open-source initiatives beyond the immediate team's focus.

• Design, develop, operate, and sustain Grafana’s mobile application.

• Take ownership of the mobile application’s reliability, performance, and uptime.

• Participate in the team's on-call shifts and manage the operational application.

• Guide and assist fellow team members.

• Engage in design discussions and collaborate effectively with the team.

• Cultivate a deeper understanding of Grafana Cloud, its customers, and a vast distributed-system codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in at least one native mobile platform (Android or iOS).

• Extensive experience in developing production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and creating maintainable codebases.

• Proven experience in taking mobile features from concept to launch, including defining requirements, exploring solutions, building, testing, managing CI/CD workflows, and publishing updates to the App Store and Google Play.

• Comfortable integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.

• Capable of writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Independent mindset with strong communication skills.

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach.

• Customer-centric perspective.

• Ability to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, collect data and feedback, and iterate accordingly.

• Bonus: experience with Grafana and Prometheus.

• Bonus: familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Bonus: knowledge of on-call, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
