Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Go services, database structures, and REST API endpoints for the k0rdent AI platform.

• Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Troubleshoot issues across API responses, service code, workflow orchestration, and Kubernetes environments.

• Contribute to internal tools, automation efforts, and client SDKs.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Draft and revise technical documentation.

• Tackle new challenges, acquire knowledge of related technologies, and deliver effective solutions.

• Operate within an agile framework and deploy production features.

• Collaborate with senior engineers from the US, Europe, and India.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent proven capability.

• Alternatively, 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.

• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, HTTP, and databases.

• Proficient in at least one systems or backend programming language: Go, Java, C++, Rust, C#, or Python.

• Ability to quickly become effective in Go.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational data modeling.

• Comfortable using Git, the command line, and Linux.

• Evidence of self-driven projects through internships, personal endeavors, open-source contributions, hackathons, or advanced coursework.

• Clear written communication skills for explaining issues and proposed solutions to a distributed team.

• Curiosity about infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale platforms.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Willingness to undergo thorough code reviews and act on feedback.

• Ability to articulate how you test and validate your own code.

• A project that the candidate can describe in detail.

• Nice to have: experience with Go, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, kubectl, Helm, AWS, Azure, GCP, REST API design, OpenAPI, client SDKs, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, AI/ML infrastructure, GPU computing, distributed systems, Python, TypeScript, open source, security, systems programming, or CTFs.
