Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain comprehensive software and data solutions in cloud and distributed environments.

• Collaborate with diverse teams on enterprise architecture, shared platforms, and product priorities.

• Contribute to decisions regarding technical architecture focused on scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.

• Develop and enhance data pipelines, integrations, APIs, and application services.

• Assist with AWS-based applications, data, and AI/ML workloads, including orchestration, monitoring, and security measures.

• Integrate AI/ML features into products and business workflows, covering model deployment, inference pipelines, and monitoring.

• Partner with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD processes, automation, observability, and operational resilience.

• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code across frontend, backend, and data layers.

• Diagnose production issues, uncover root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.

• Support security, compliance, and governance requirements, including NIST, GDPR, and SOX where applicable.

• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and offer suggestions to enhance products, platforms, and engineering practices.

• Collaborate with system engineers, data engineers, AI/ML specialists, frontend developers, and platform teams.

• Travel occasionally as required for business and team collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.

• Relevant professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or similar technical roles.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and frameworks like Angular or React.

• Experience in backend development with Python, Java, and other related frameworks.

• Experience in designing or supporting data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, automated testing, containerization, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, or Maven.

• Understanding of secure engineering practices and compliance requirements in enterprise settings.

• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML deployment, integration, or monitoring.

• Preferred: Background in API orchestration, MCP-based integrations, or connected system architectures.

• Preferred: Familiarity with technical data domains and enterprise data architecture.

• Preferred: Experience in the supply chain domain.

• Preferred: Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to evolving priorities.
