ABAP/ODATA Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop intricate features.

• Debug, perform unit testing, build, configure, and deploy software applications.

• Assume full ownership of assigned tasks and manage responsibilities autonomously.

• Analyze, design, and suggest third-party tools and bespoke applications.

• Evaluate necessary functionalities and execute platform customizations or tailored solutions.

• Collaborate with colleagues to comprehend business needs and formulate technical specifications.

• Provide estimates, status updates, and escalations to guarantee timely delivery of solutions.

• Support projects that are already live and develop new components for ongoing initiatives.

• Offer continuous support to business and content teams managing sites on the strategic technology platform.

• Deliver technical guidance to project delivery team members.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS views, SAP Data Dictionary, SQL tuning, and S/4HANA migrations.

• Extensive hands-on experience with classic SAP Business Workflow.

• Significant hands-on experience in developing Adobe Forms.

• Strong understanding of RAP and SAP Fiori/OData integration.

• Familiarity with SAP BTP, PI, Solution Manager, and Agile/DevOps pipeline tools.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline along with experience in implementing SAP solutions and systems is required.

• At least 3 complete SAP Implementation project life cycle experiences, with proven expertise in managing implementation projects involving SAP technologies and SAP Development projects.

• Solid experience in the SAP support project life cycle.

• Proficient in ABAP objects, Object-Oriented Programming, Conversions, Enhancements, BADI, and Performance Tuning.

• Strong experience in Gateway services and OData concepts.

• Good experience with WebDynpro applications and Web services.

• Familiarity with FPM reports.

• Solid background in SAP Technical Development (ABAP) / ABAP for HANA.

• Intermediate to high level of English language communication skills are required.

• Experience in managing integrations to and from SAP systems.

• Experience with SAFe Agile or other Agile methodologies is preferred.
