Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and maintain software applications utilizing established programming languages, technical standards, and development methodologies.

• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot solutions across development, testing, and production environments.

• Provide production support to ensure reliable application operation by proactively identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.

• Create Proofs of Concept to assess the feasibility and viability of proposed technical approaches.

• Evaluate, recommend, and integrate new technologies that improve product development, performance, and user experience.

• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and user requirements.

• Present and defend technical decisions based on sound engineering judgment and fundamental programming principles.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.

• Advocate for high-quality user experiences and adherence to development best practices.

• Contribute to individual, departmental, and organizational initiatives as needed.

• Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred; a High School Diploma with equivalent experience will be considered.

• 1-3 years of full-stack development experience is preferred.

• Required proficiency in either C#/SQL Server or Java/MySQL Server; knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous.

• Experience in usability and interface design.

• Familiarity with advanced SQL queries is preferred.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.

• Proven strong attention to detail and ability to deliver a high-quality product on the first attempt.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Excellent time management, organization, and planning abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing key initiatives, and meeting deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with colleagues across departments.

• Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency, proactive mindset, and anticipatory qualities.
