Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain comprehensive software and data solutions across cloud and distributed settings.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to provide solutions that align with enterprise architecture, shared platforms, and product priorities.

• Contribute to decisions regarding technical architecture, focusing on scalability, security, maintainability, and performance trade-offs.

• Create and enhance data pipelines, integrations, APIs, and application services.

• Support application, data, and AI/ML workloads based on AWS, including orchestration, monitoring, and security measures.

• Incorporate AI/ML functionalities into products and business processes, covering model deployment, inference pipelines, and monitoring.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD, automation, observability, and operational resilience.

• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code across frontend, backend, and data layers.

• Diagnose production issues, discover root causes, and implement lasting solutions.

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements, including NIST, GDPR, and SOX where applicable.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance products, platforms, and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.

• Relevant professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or similar technical positions.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and frameworks like Angular or React.

• Experience in backend development using languages such as Python, Java, and associated frameworks.

• Experience in designing or supporting data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, and cloud-native tools such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, or Maven.

• Understanding of secure engineering practices and compliance considerations within enterprise environments.

• Experience with AI/ML deployment, integration, or monitoring.

• Experience with API orchestration, MCP-based integrations, or connected system architectures.

• Familiarity with technical data domains and enterprise data architecture.

• Background in the supply chain domain.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to shifting priorities.
