📋 Description

• Develop and enhance essential AI platform functionalities that allow teams to create, execute, and scale applications powered by GenAI throughout Thumbtack.

• Play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of scalable tools and infrastructure that support the initiatives of our applied scientists, including systems for traditional ML model training and serving, feature and data workflows, CI/CD, orchestration, deployment, and evaluation tools.

• Engage hands-on across the entire stack, from backend services and execution infrastructure to integrations with AI models and tools.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to assess next-generation AI infrastructure frameworks and tools that assist product teams in leveraging advancements in AI.

• Lead projects to successful completion with a strong emphasis on business impact and measurable results.

• Address complex technical challenges and remain informed about developments in this swiftly changing field.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

• Proficiency in at least one major programming language, with the capability to work across various languages. Our primary technology stack includes Go and Python.

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, such as Postgres or DynamoDB.

• Proven ability to utilize AI coding tools in everyday workflows and to assess, critique, and refine AI-generated results.

• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with a degree of ambiguity, particularly when acquiring new technologies as project demands arise.
