Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the creation of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that support model training and innovative AI products.

• Merge engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts to construct high-quality datasets at petabyte scale while maintaining low costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (preferred).

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform (preferred).

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred).
