Senior AI Developer, Product Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Managers to launch the initial agents into production, beginning with the creation of briefs and transitioning from Product Management to design, then extending this throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Develop the shared architecture and standards—encompassing orchestration, skills, memory, evaluations, and guardrails—across both product lines.

• Take responsibility for the production quality of the agents: ensuring observability, testing, security, and cost management, with human approval at each critical stage.

• Work in tandem with Product Managers to understand their processes, reuse their automations, and implement small iterative improvements.

• Track metrics such as time saved, the duration from customer feedback to delivered decision, and costs per agent and feature, while eliminating non-value-adding elements.

• Share best practices in agent development to empower the team to build, operate, and enhance agents independently.

• Engage daily with the Product Operations team, the AI Software Development Life Cycle team, Product Managers, and the Senior AI Developer within the Data team.

• Develop the architecture and transform a Slack proof of concept into a production-ready standard.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English is essential, as you will frequently collaborate with colleagues, customers, and partners who communicate in languages other than French.

• Extensive experience in production engineering throughout the complete agent development lifecycle.

• Practical experience in designing and deploying multi-agent systems, including orchestration, tools, context, and memory, integrated with platforms such as Slack, Atlassian, and MCP.

• Experience in system instrumentation and evaluation, covering aspects like evaluations, observability, regression testing, and cost tracking.

• Strong architectural judgment regarding reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness, along with the ability to select the appropriate model for the corresponding task and the confidence to formulate and defend a technical stance.

• Proven track record of creating components or tools that are widely adopted.

• Strong product understanding: insight into how Product Managers operate and the ability to build with users in mind.

• Enjoy collaborative building as part of a team and assist individuals in transforming their workflows by sharing your methodologies.

• Possess a builder mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and daily engagement with AI-assisted development tools, coupled with critical thinking skills.

• Preferred: experience in product management or with B2B SaaS, HR, or IT products.
