Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and create reliable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the discovery of problems through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that drive model training and next-generation AI solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform (preferred).

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred).
