Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines for integrating them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from the identification of problems through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work autonomously in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is a plus.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is advantageous.
