Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, showcasing strong backend development skills.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing systems.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing techniques.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, self-motivation, and the ability to navigate independently in ambiguous situations.
