Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work in collaboration with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the identification of problems through to implementation and ongoing improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong fundamentals in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, particularly those that involve data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data gathering, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
