Software Engineer – AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and support next-generation AI products.

• Merge engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating strong backend development skills.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the initiative and capacity to work independently in uncertain settings.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
