Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Design and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Develop data pipelines that power model training and next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (a plus).

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform (a plus).

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (a plus).
