Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Enhance and maintain large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and facilitate the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancements.

• Develop data pipelines that support model training and the creation of cutting-edge AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Proven experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently in uncertain settings.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a bonus.
