Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that support model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

• Construct high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale and minimal cost by merging engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capability to work autonomously in uncertain environments.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
