Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create petabyte-scale, cost-effective datasets by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, demonstrating strong backend development skills.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially in GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is beneficial.

• Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and capacity to work independently in ambiguous situations.
