Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.

• Take charge of engineering projects from problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that fuel model training and next-generation AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and minimal cost.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash in Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Nice to have: Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
