Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines for integration into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the creation of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from the initial problem identification to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Construct data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of innovative AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to create high-quality datasets at petabyte scale while minimizing costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in designing and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a nice-to-have.

• Submission of a portfolio and LinkedIn links is required with the application.
