Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify and source new audio data, establishing dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Design and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and facilitate the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the identification of issues through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that support model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably with a focus on data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a bonus.
