Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and costs.

• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvements.

• Construct data pipelines that support model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition techniques, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is advantageous.
