Software Engineer – AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify and establish new sources of audio data, creating dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem discovery through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Construct data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and the capability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Background in web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform (preferred).

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred).
