Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish efficient pipelines to integrate them into training datasets

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost

• Work collaboratively with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models

• Take initiative on engineering projects from identifying issues to implementation and ongoing enhancement

• Create high-quality datasets at petabyte scale while minimizing costs through a combination of engineering, infrastructure, and research

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production systems, ideally involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing

• Background in web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing

• Capability to operate independently in uncertain environments
