Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and create dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take charge of engineering projects from the initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

• Generate high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs by combining engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work autonomously in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a bonus.
