Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish reliable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models

• Take charge of engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvement

• Create data pipelines that drive model training and next-generation AI products

• Merge engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale and minimal cost

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing

• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and capability to work independently in uncertain environments

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (preferred)

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform (preferred)

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred)
