Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines for integration into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance extensive data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of cutting-edge models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale and minimal cost.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Proven experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work autonomously in uncertain environments.

• Background in web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
