Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from problem identification through execution and ongoing enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in professional software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Nice to have: Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing systems.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
