Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and facilitate the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Construct high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and minimal cost by merging engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Background in building and maintaining production systems, preferably related to data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capability to operate independently in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
