Software Engineer – AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and facilitate the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that drive model training and future AI product innovations.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, showcasing strong backend development principles.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive mindset, and capability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a desirable asset.
