Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Identify and source new audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from the initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in creating and managing production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and the capability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition techniques, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
