Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Create data pipelines that support model training and next-gen AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, ideally related to data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform (preferred).

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred).
