Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Identify novel sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

• Collaborate with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the advancement of next-generation model development.

• Manage engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that fuel model training and support next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong foundational knowledge in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and capacity to operate independently in uncertain environments.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems (preferred).

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, specifically GCP and Terraform (preferred).

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing (preferred).
