Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify and explore new sources of audio data, establishing dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Design and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take full ownership of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create data pipelines that drive model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, demonstrating strong backend development skills.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in constructing and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and capability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is desirable.
