Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify and source new audio data, establishing dependable pipelines for incorporation into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and facilitate the advancement of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while keeping costs low by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Proven experience in building and managing production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or extensive data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Background in web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is preferred.
