Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take charge of engineering projects from the initial problem identification to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Create high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale and low cost by merging engineering, infrastructure, and research capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, ideally those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is beneficial.
