Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify innovative sources of audio data and develop dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Design and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the discovery of issues through implementation and ongoing enhancements.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of next-generation AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to construct high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to operate independently in uncertain settings.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
