Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work in close collaboration with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from the initial problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale while minimizing costs through a combination of engineering, infrastructure, and research.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capability to work independently in uncertain situations.

• A portfolio and LinkedIn links are requested upon application.

• Preferred: Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly with GCP and Terraform.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
